More about me...

My name is Linda Morris. An avid cross stitcher since the 1980s, I am following my dream of becoming a counted stitch designer.

I initially spent some time testing my ability to design cross stitch scenes in an amateur capacity. You may have seen my Spring at Cragside and Saltwell Park designs at the Gateshead Summer Flower Show, in 2007 and 2009 respectively, where each managed to win first prize. Spring at Cragside also took a first in the 'Own Design Needlework' class at the Morpeth Gathering in 2008.

Since then, I've been exploring a variety of ways to sell the patterns I have designed. I attended numerous craft fairs and markets (in the North East of England) and provided a UK mail order service in the past but I'm now mainly looking for stockists. That way I can spend more time on designing.

I am still happy, though, to demonstrate cross stitch and blackwork techniques at indoor venues in exchange for opportunities to sell my patterns. Without those opportunities, I would need to charge a fee for my time. I am also interested in exhibiting my stitched work and can provide patterns for sale during the duration of the exhibition.

Should any of these opportunities appeal to you, please feel free to contact me at (0191) 499 0811 or lmorrisxstitch@gmail.com or www.facebook.com/LMorrisXstitch.
